✅ REVIEW
“The problem with books is that they end. They seduce you. They spread their legs to you and pull you inside. And you go deep and leave your possessions and your ties to the world at the door and you like it inside and you don’t want for your possessions or your ties and then, the book evaporates.”
Well, this book is something else. I saw this it was adapted by Netflix and wanted to read it before watching the show, and boy, am I happy. I loved it, it hooked me from the first page held on to me tight.
Dear friends, meet Joe Goldberg, he is quite the character. He works at a bookstore and that’s where he meets Beck, who’s also quite the character. Joe becomes obsessed with her and the things he does, well, I spent half the book in shock and the other half eager to know what was coming next.
This story captivated me, I found Joe charismatic in the most twisted way possible, and I rooted for him, it’s so wrong because he’s just so not ok. Overall, I loved it!!! and highly recommend it to all.

✅ PUBLISHER’S DESCRIPTION
“When a beautiful, aspiring writer strides into the East Village bookstore where Joe Goldberg works, he does what anyone would do: he Googles the name on her credit card.
There is only one Guinevere Beck in New York City. She has a public Facebook account and Tweets incessantly, telling Joe everything he needs to know: she is simply Beck to her friends, she went to Brown University, she lives on Bank Street, and she’ll be at a bar in Brooklyn tonight—the perfect place for a “chance” meeting.
As Joe invisibly and obsessively takes control of Beck’s life, he orchestrates a series of events to ensure Beck finds herself in his waiting arms. Moving from stalker to boyfriend, Joe transforms himself into Beck’s perfect man, all while quietly removing the obstacles that stand in their way—even if it means murder.”
Normally books like this would turn me off but this didn’t! You’ve captured the essence of the story and Joe perfectly, Carol💜
