REVIEW
This is the first book in a young-adult fantasy series. Jude has a twin sister named Taryn and an older half-sister named Vivi. When they are young Vivi’s father shows up on their house, kills their parents, and takes them to live in the faerie world.
Ten years go by and the girls are now teenagers. Jude would like nothing more than to be part of the faerie world but she’s generally bullied and shun out because she’s human.
This is the premise of the story and the novel has action, intrigue, and fantasy elements.
It is vaguely similar to the Court of Thorns series where there is magic, courts, and faeries but not as engaging. I did not enjoy it as much as I have enjoyed other fantasy series.
Overall it was ok. I recommend it to readers of YA fantasy.
